It has been a nice weekend so far - one more day to go and my plan for tomorrow is just to hang around and do a few things around the house. Saturday we had family dinner here. It turned out very nice and except for Tim burning part of dinner (that has never happened before) we had lots of food for everyone.
I am glad that we started doing these family dinners once a month. It is always great to get together with at least one of my brothers and my sister and their families. The next one is already planned for July while we are camping in Wisconsin and plans for the girls are to go to Potawatomi to celebrate Cari's birthday finally (it is tradition to take her to "the boat" for her birthday) - her birthday was in February and the girls have been talking about getting together to go to Potawatomi for a while now.
Today Cari & I went over to my moms to do some gardening - didn't know it was going to be so blasted hot!! Of course, where we were working had to be in the full sun! Cari helped dig and pull up weeds - something else I didn't know she was good at! Got the side of the garage all cleaned up and planted some rose hedge! Came home and watched some Ellen with Meg, then we were going to play some Wii Guitar Hero but she got called into work so now Joe is playing to catch up to Meg and me. Tim is working on putting in our new front storm door - repainting the trim first. Then he will paint the front door a cranberry to match the screen door. Will be interesting to see the new look when it is done.
