It's A Start

I think this next year is going to be a long one for many reasons. My youngest is starting her final year of high school. She goes away to school and she moved back yesterday and it seemed like she couldn't get out of here fast enough. She was hardly even home for most of the summer. I should be thankful that she went camping with us last week and it was a relatively nice time. Not a lot of complaining and she did participate in most of the things we did. Getting her to work on preparing for college is also going to be a struggle. I tried to get her to do some this summer but as I said she really wasn't around too much and when she was all she did was sit around on her computer.

I find that since my dh has a new position at work and with me working even though a few days a week things don't get done at home like they did when he was in sales. He used to be home alot and do dishes and laundry while he was here but now his new position has him out in the field alot so there is really no one home to get things done and by the time I get home I just want to chill or I am busy taking my #1d to her activities.

Not that I don't like my job but I wish I could find a way to make money from home and be at home again full time. Winning the lottery would make my day.

Our goal for this coming fall and winter is to do a "clean sweep" in our house and get it ready to possibly sell in the next year or so. We have been discussing that moving out west of here (still in IL) we can probably find a house that suits us and would lower our monthly mortgage so we could put more money into our retirement fund. I just want to be where things are not so busy and hectic with a little land around me. We have also talked about wherever we go to have land enough to put a trailer or have an in-law situation so we have a place for guests.

So many dreams so little time.
